Reprogramme MMSI on AIS650 and ICOM radio?

Is there a way to reprogramme the MMSI numbers on a Raymarine AIS 650 and ICOM VHF without returning them to a dealer?

ProAIS2 doesn't do it. The function is greyed out.

It wouldn't - the AIS specification says that the MMSI shouldn't be user programmable.

ProAIS2 has hidden functions that can be activating by pasting code into its "Serial Data" tab. It may be that the MMSI is reset this way, but it would require a dealer (or possibly even an em-trak employee) to leak the information.

I am an Em-Trak dealer and have the software to re-program the MMSI, i suspect it will work with the AIS 650. Happy to do it for the OP FOC if he pays the post.

See post #3 for the AIS. The Icom will need to go to an Icom dealer, or Icom themselves.

I am an Em-Trak dealer and have the software to re-program the MMSI, i suspect it will work with the AIS 650. Happy to do it for the OP FOC if he pays the post.

Awefully decent of you to offer Paul. I'm helping a friend out here in Sicily. He's just bought and reflagged a boat and needs to sail to Tunsia soon. More than happy to pay, but can't get anyone locally to do it. ...unhelpful responses from RM and ICOM.
