I've got 4 Jabsco self priming diaphragm "shower" pumps on Tintin, and they are well past their best, with corrosion on the motor body, and pretty poor flow rate.

(Port bilge, stbd bilge, fwd shower, aft shower)

At £310 each they seem expensive, and the service kits are about £55, but the diaphragms etc don't s3em to be the problem.

Am wondering what to replace them with, and whether a self-priming impeller pump is better (there are inclined filters and strainer strum boxes.

The Jabsco model.is 37202-2012, with a flow rate of 13LPM / 780LPH / 206usGPH.

Am thinking to change over to the Jabsco Par Max, or one of the cheaper impeller ones. 19mm inlet and outlet needed.

(By the way I do also have a much larger proper bike pump, 3500gph, these ones are just for "comvenience" emptying :)

Shower pumps are poor as bilge pumps, fit proper bilge pumps.

For shower pumps, i fitted a Whale IC pump. No float switches, fully automagic, empties both of our showers. Excellent bit of kit.

I must say I was surprised to find them in there, and they looked like they had been fitted from factory.
