I can't seem to find anywhere the renewal period - if any - for
RYA Dayskipper certificate, (including ICC), and VHF operators certificate. Is there a time restriction on these, and if so, what is required to get the renewals? I suppose Ofcom and RYA don't send out reminders do they?

um, i think they last five years. Then you have to send off bout £5 for the renewal. I gave mine to some admin types at werk who sorted it out. So there can't be extra exams needed. Pics, possibly.

AFAIK, the RYA certificates and the VHF certificate do not expire. However, the ICC certficates do expire - my last one expired after 5 years. If you're a member of the RYA, they can issue the ICC certificates.

Commercial endorsements on RYA qualifications do expire.

ICC expires after 5 Years, free renewal for RYA members other wise a fee of £30.00. VHF does not expire only the Licence for the vessel to carry the radio or handheld equivelent. These last one year and are £20.00 & £15.00.

Hope this helps
