The thread on a/f removal started by Kynaston turned up an advert for Removall 610 from www.bcaviation.co.uk. It sounds really good and pretty safe compared to the other two. Has anyone tried it?

Many many people would be keen to know!!

Re: removall antifouling remover - anyone tried it

I have tried to get in touch with them but have had no luck yet. The agent is on Hayling Island where I keep my boat, so I'll post any results if I get to try it. Having read several accounts, I think I'll give interstrip a try (see YM April 2000 for a comparative test) if I can't get in touch with them soon.
I do note that the website pictures show a motor boat, i.e. hard-type antifouling, I don't know about you but I use erodable which may be different.

I have been in touch with the UK company that sells it, the parent company is a Canadian co outside Vancouver (goody given that I grew up on Vancouver Island).

They were a bit difficult to get hold of but were helpful once had managed to do so. The main company is based in Wimborne and is called B.C. Aviation. The guy who deals with the marine leisure industry is based in Hayling Island. He is appartently away on holiday at present but his colleagues promise me that he will be in touch. The product looks impressive and a lot less nasty than the alternatives. I have always disliked caustic removers as they are very unpleasant to use and never achieve much. I expect that I will be using it on Kemara so will report back.
