Walking the dogs this morning and they are setting up the annual regatta at Thames Valley Park (between Sonning & Reading locks)......looks like a busy weekend ahead.

Passed by on Sunday afternoon Barely discernible mucky old buoys cordoning off three quarters of the river, understandable as they were rowing three across as (but not much passing traffic - so no problem). Idiot so called safety ribs dribbling about and cutting across my bows. Don't think he understood standard signals. Got a cheery wave, so all good natured.

Even so, I was impressed by the large crowds with enthusiastic support for the crews - and everybody was having a jolly good time.

Gave quite a buzz to the whole area. Could hear the commentary right up to Caversham Lock.
