The tubes on my yellow Caribe rib tender are badly marked and stained - not surprising because I think it's 20 odd years old. I'd like to give it a spruce up and I'm looking for recommendations. My son in NI has recommended August Race and I saw a thread on here some time ago for a product called Gommostrip. Neither of these are available here in Türkiye and I want to get this job done sooner rather than later. Can anyone recommend a more commonly available cleaner?

So not directly relevant for the OP, but August Race was recommended to me for our old Zodiac tender. Did a good cleaning job but it did take the colour off the blue bits - lots of blue on the cloth and the tubes were left pretty faded/blotchy. Its widely used so was probably because our tender is pretty old - 10 years - and has spent a lot of time in the sun, but worth doing a test on a discrete bit if appearance is important to you.

I bought the Starbrite cleaner recommend by @Clancy Moped
I tried it on a small patch and it cleaned the surface dirt but didn't make much impression on the ingrained stains. Admittedly I didn't use a lot of elbow grease which I will when I get around to doing the job in earnest. In the meantime I've been giving my deck a long overdue deep clean with Oxalic acid and the result is more than impressive with little effort. So, I’m thinking, why not try the Oxalic on the rib. Would it damage the tubes or the stitching?
