Another vote for tbe Yamaha 2.5 4 stroke... Mine is about 15 years old I reckon... Dropped in the sea about 10 years back.. Didnt get to clean it out for a week... Never corroded... . Always starts first pull...

If it had been a 2T you might not have dropped it in the sea.

If you are considering the mariner 4 stroke, take a look at the tohatsu version, it has an additional carrying handle on the back which makes it easier to move about. (Mariner/mercury/tohatsu 3.5hp are all the same engine)
