I was wondering if anyone managed to interface a bluetooth GPS with Raytech and how.
I have an NMEA bluetooth GPS that is recognized by OpenCPN on COM7.
I configured Raytech for an NMEA instrument on COM7, but it does not receive the sentences.

Was RNS the only application running at the time?

A COM port can only be 'connected' to one application at a time. If OpenCPN was still running, for instance, then it was probably still holding onto the COM port.

If there is any possibility that this was the problem it might be worth trying a clean restart of Windows and loading RNS but nothing else.

If that isn't the problem, have you had any GPS working with RNS?

Further to my previous (above), I have just had a quick look at RNS.

Are you using a fully licensed version of 6.2 or the unlicensed Planner Only version.

If the latter, then I don't think it will interface to a GPS; it is for planning only, not real time interfacing/navigation.
