Fluxgate received today, very well packaged, thank you.
The device rattles back and forth inside the ‘dome’. Is this normal? I’ve never had one before so don’t know,

I think rattling is normal. I was concerned about one I had received and dismantled it only to find it was meant to rattle!

It is perfectly normal for it to rattle.

I couldn’t resist and took it apart and sure enough it’s the self levelling part of it.
