Raggie hell

Chum of mine has just got back from week flotilla sailing off the Croation coast with a company called Setsail ?.Having recently sold his first attempt at boating (T37) he fancied a go at sailing and duly booked a week while at boat show. The only comment we could get from him was hell on earth and absolute rubbish worse than camping.
Cramped uncomfortable accomodation and no hot water.Boat was three year old Beneteau 31 and the fact that in rained all week with nowhere to dry anything did not help.

Re: Raggie hell

certainly would not have been my first choice. I like my creature comforts - hot water, heater that works through whole boat, 3 seperate cabins, a bed that is a full 6'6" x 4'6", a boat that stays upright, and is well ventilated, and finally having enough room to swing a cat!

In addition, a wheelhouse is useful not only when it is typical UK weather (i.e. raining) but also when the sun is really hot.

Re:Moaning in the rain

Actually he also mentioned that in a couple of the places they stayed at the mooring fee was 25.00 quid a night.Thought it was supposed to be cheap out there.Apparently there where also a couple of 32 footers in the group with hot water
Pity about his trip he was so looking forward to it.

I hope that one bad experience doesnt make him give up - much better to try a different experience and see how he likes it - go for a weekend in a catamaran and see how they like it.
