I can compare the older Raymarine Analogue system to the Quantum if that helps.
Basically Quantum has no warm up time and uses less power but in terms of functionality I can't really see a huge difference in the quality of the radar output on the screen. I think the older HD Raymarine scanner was supposed to be better at defining smaller objects than the standard analogue version. Unless you are really into radar, either version will work well for the leisure sailor.

Doppler and chart overlay on a MFD at the helm are the features you want on a modern radar solution. If they have that you're all good.

Obviously there are comparisons of the various current models on the Raymarine web-site. But for user experience on here you will need to be more specific about which models you are considering. New radar? Older radar? Legacy models?
