Can anyone recommend a Radar Course that assumes some basic knowledge and experience.
While I have attended a RYA Radar Course I feel I did not learn very much due to a number of students that required the whole day to understand the basics.
I am very aware that I do not understand why the unfortunate loss (after a collision) of the Moody last year was partially influenced as the Radar was Ground stabilised instead of Sea stabilised. I fully understand the plotting of each ships relative position but I struggle to understand how the above affects the MARPA as I assume it would inicate a collision whether it was set up relative to one piece of sea or one piece of land.
I would therefore like to attend a course that follows up from what effectively became (due to other students needs) a very basic introduction to Radar course.
Any recommendations please?

Get together with a couple of other like minded people and hire an instructor to run a course on your boat. You can tailor it to what you want, and will get hands on experience in the best possible location.

I agree with jhr - it's so much better on your own boat, with your own kit. I used Mike Diamond - see here .The whole family had a go (and got the certificate).

The Robert Avis course is quite superb and goes further than the RYA course. He uses a full simulator which he has had developed for him, and which he uses to train leisure boaters as well as Masters up to 3000 ton command. He's on 07850 296 036 or 02086 606 643.

Sounds interesting but I found that learning how to use it on a boat bouncing around through the waves (and thus in real life situation where the bearing of another vessel changes quite dramatically) and on your own kit (with its own sensitivities to clutter etc) is a major boost to confidence and 'useability'.
