racing rules website?

about to get back into racing after a few years away. where can i find an on-line summary of the current rules? i don't want to look a prat by shouting 'mast abeam' or some such.

The other useful one is the Team racing 'calls' - 99% apply to general racing but I'm beggared if I can find them at the moment!

Have a look at the UK Sails website via google. You need to register (not a prob) but they have an excellent series of 'live & animated' situations most commonly found in racing. These are updated on a regular basis, there are sixteen now, and have to be one of the easier ways of understanding and interpreting the rules.

There is also a wealth of information about sails which can help you tweak her up a bit

Don't know about a web site, but the little book called (spookily) 'The Racing Rules' (By Eric Twiname and published by Twiname and Willis) has always been a good and effective read for racing.
