Question about Fairline Sedan 36.

Just curious .When did the windows move from above the rubbing strip down into the hull proper ?

Mine was an 86 with the windows above, the last Sedan/ Turbos were built about 1993, I would have said the windows changed about 1990?

Perhaps if you ask on the Fairline owners club site?

I think it was during 1989 production builds.

I had one born in 88 with ports below the r/strake.

Had a look on google and various brokers sites.
Assumed that the early boats were above the rubbing band and later stuff below.
The dates given on some of the photos do not seem to confirm this .
A couple of 1989 boats display portholes in either location.

It would appear that most are located in the hull and only few early ones had them just below the toe rail.

Got a few these locally (about 4-5), from 1988 to 1990 vintage. All have windows at hull.

I always thought the upper window (under the toe rail) was something reserved for the 36 Turbo. Never saw a 36 Sedan like this.

There are many with the portholes under the belting and I certainly had one with the portholes above the belting.
