and the visitors' corner at Limehouse is now fully up and operational - got an access ramp and everything! AND you've all got an invite for a BYO do from a boater here with a mahoosive barge with a lovely deck which will be full of flowers by July....

A family wedding on the Saturday has got in the way. However, the wedding is in kent, so I am trying to figure out how to get the boat near to queensborough before Saturday, do the wedding and still be able to join everyone for the sail to London on Sunday morning.

Any suggestion of places to keep the boat near qborough for a week or so will be welcome.

Yep, queenborough makes sense, so count me in for the trip to London on the Sunday, but unfortunately will not be able to join the fun on the Saturday night. Weather permitting, I'll either leave the boat at QB the preceding weekend, or the Friday before the Sunday, and get back to the boat for the London trip late Saturday or early on the Sunday.

Presuming the Sunday departure will be at LW sheerness?

Really looking forward to this.

I need to be in Southwold the following weekend for an 80th party (no, not mine) and I'm thinking about going by boat. This is an easy 3 day hop Q'boro, Harwich, Southwold. Is anybody planning to do it one to Harwich and suffer the misery of the tides (albeit neaps)?

I was trying to look at the Limehouse website for locking times but it isn't working. Lisa??

I think the lock will open at any reasonable time with 24 hours notice. I think that means 5am to 10pm when there is enough water - which is usually HW +/-5 . I will double check tomorrow.
