we will be there by car on Saturday afternoon. Assume someone will pick us up by dinghy or we will see if trot boat will bring us over.

I would think that Phil will run you out.

Would one of you like to come up river on Sirenia.
I don't have crew and it would be great to have someone along.
If so you will need a sleeping bag etc.

Leaving Shotley about 7ish tomorrow hope get to Queenborough about high tide.

And all I had to do was mention casually that FC has a disco lighting system then sit back and watch the fun :D

It was a very good evening indeed. Thanks to all involved

Great time had by all. Thanks to Clive for his hospitality by providing us with BBQ, and to Jim for putting up with quite a lot and providing sustaining malt (as well as a giant fender).

Hope everyone got to Limehouse ok without being drowned by the rain en route. Inevitably the rain stopped just as we locked back into Chatham.

And at least one got home quickly. We left on Wednesday (as did Clive) at 0745 with a 20+ Westerly forecast. What a rocket! first time I've seen 10knots on my GPS.
We plugged on up the Swin against the tide and got to the Wallet Spitway at 1645 - incredible 60nm in 9 hours. However we then had to turn into said wind which had woken up a bit by then and caused a huge wind over tide. Slam, crash wallop, 34 knots over the deck at one time - it took us 2hrs45 to do the last 9 nm but we got into Bradwell in just under 12 hours from Limehouse. I have destroyed my laughable passage plan!

Great to have Alan CPD as company and crew. Excellent trip, I'd do that again.:encouragement:

Erbas and Gitane have just blasted downriver under motor and anchored at Slaughterhouse Point in a flat calm and some serious heat. I nearly expired blowing up the flubber to pick Ron up for dinner later!

I do hope you all tied up in the lock in the approved method of the little HM. He knew more about how my boat handled in 5 minutes than i found out in 15 yrs.
midships cleat & a spring on so i can then conrtol the boat, "Oh no", not in "My" lock, its stern line first skipper.
