I pose a very serious question to all, regardless of status etc.

Picture this scene. You and your crew are in a 'safe' UK marina berth. The crew is 'flogged' and gone to bed. You have decide to stay up with the first mate and watch a favourite video. It's a horrible night, sleeting and very cold outside.

All seems cosy enough?

Suddenly there is an almighty roar from within your ship. Everything around shudders violently, loose materials are thrown sideways. Lots of banging and clumping eminates from beneath your vessel and KABOOM, one last deafening bang! At least one of your crew have been thrown out of their bunk. You try to stand up and realize that your doorways are well leaning over! Further investigations amid your frightened crew, reveal the sickening truth. YOUR pride and joy has stopped 'floating' AND fallen very hard, over to one side.

Now then shipmates, seriously, what would YOU do?

Hib, Hadyn,

It's because your a volunteer that I value your opinion. One volunteer is better than ten pressed Men (or women!). Please give my question some serious thought. I want to hear from you and people like you. With over 2000 postings you must have a bit more to say on this subject?

Must I tease it out of you? After that what happens next? Your crew, your pride and joy, your responsibilities?

What would you do?
