She arrived this morning (night) and will leave again this afternoon. Hope I will be in time to see her leave and make a pic or 2.

A remarkable piece of engineering!

haven't decided yet. Saw the QE2 years ago, also in Rotterdam. Will try to see her leave this evening and possibly agree on your opinion.....

If you go to La Rochelle there is a superb museum devoted to ocean liners, housed in the old U boat pens, well worth a visit, covers ocean passages and last year had a special section for the new QM.

Saw her in Copenhagen at the end of May.
Well, not exactly IN Copenhagen... her draft was too deep for the harbour so she had to anchor a couple of miles offshore and ferry passengers in to the city...)
Initial though on seeing her for the first time "in the flesh"... BIGGG!

Hi all,

we saw the QM2 in droebaksundet (Oslofjord, Norway); during faerderseilas, a regatta with approx. 1100 participating boats. Droebaksundet is very narrow, and typically (also this time) there's almost no wind.
She's indeed big, and very nice to see. What impressed me maybe most was her wake, or more properly the almost absence of wake, especially compared to the ferries which also sail through this area.
We didn't have a camera with us, so unfortunately no pictures; if we had known that she would pass us that alone would have been reason enough to take a camera with us though.

rgrds,

Andries
