All those nice boats at the show all seem to use a pvc material on the ceiling which in padded with a foam. As I am re-upholstering I would like to get my hands on about 25 sq meters the prefered colour is white. Any info appreciated.

Usual marine trimming places like Toomer's etc. But I've found if you look thru the Yellow Pages and look up coach trimmers you'll save a whole heap of money.

Also available from Hawke House marine in Fareham together with all the adheives you will need. I and others have found them helpful, not that Toomers are not. A Google search will find them. The subject of replacing headlining crops up regularly on the forum so a search here will find what has been said before with detailed advice etc.

off white is easier to keep clean
panels can be removed
the foam eventually breaks down, with messy results
