Proposition

and just how big do you think we would need .... 100 or 200 feet and howmany berths and showers, washing machines etc ... should we keep it on the West Coast of Scotland or Cherbourg?

Well if it wiz big enough we could park the front in Scotland and the back in Cherbourg.

Re: Lord Jim

hm. Is there a massive prob with yours?

Otherwise, i'm in.

Lord Jim is for sale. asking £850 k. look at steel boats between 24m and 28m in ybw brokerage. Awesome lump of kit, saw it in france a couple of years ago. Big enough to not need to talk to everyone on board.

Mind you, if everyone sold their boats that mite get several million.

Will we go to nice warm places? I don't want to share a boat that's in the sodding cold. Praps if we sell all our boats we cd buy Lord Jim AND a private jet . Tho a jet is a bit much, probly a King Air turboprop would do ok. Secondhand another 500k. maybe

mmm and that would make the Channel Crossing quite easy then wouldn't it.. only problem is people might start to use as bridge but we could always charge extortionate tolls then I s'pose.. nice money earner there.. would just about cover the maintenance costs I'm thinking!

Might cause a bit of a problem with the traffic lanes. I suppose so long as we parked it at right angles to the directional flow, we might get away with it?

Being paranoid simply means - having all the facts.

On a slightly different tack, We could put all the dosh into buying a bunch of Jeanneau 37's, keep them somewhere on the Slolent and charge people to play dodgems....
