I have a prestige 32 on the list of potential replacement for my current boat but there is no oven in the galley.
Just wondered if anybody had fitted one and if so were there any issues?

Is there a Microwave there currently? If so, you can replace it with one of those Mini ovens from Argos.

This is provided you are planning on installing a 220v rather than gas.

We are going through this exact same problem - made an offer on a Prestige 36. Also looking at a mini oven. So far, the Andrew James 20 litre mini oven is looking like the best option. I really need to get the microwave out and measure the absolute maximum dimensions (with an air gap) to see if one could go slightly bigger. I'll let you know how I get on and if you come up with a genius idea - please let me know.

The lack of oven was the one thing that really put me off about the Prestige.

We have considered this but would really prefer a gas oven, we have tried a Halogen oven which is good but storage is a bit of an issue

Thanks for that Shan, I would be interested to hear how you went on..

We leave a 2" gap on top and 1" on the sides of our 220v oven, works perfectly and you can even heat your plates on top before serving

We have an excellent daewoo combination with proper convection oven (did a roast chicken last week), microwave etc.
We had a hole designed for a small microwave and this was the smallest proper oven function thing I could find.

I'll get the model number when back on the boat. I did put s vent on the back of the cabinet to let hit she out but other than that it was an easy fit

Thanks... that will be interesting. I had always written off the combos but admittedly, I have not tried one. I don't suppose I could be cheeky and ask for food porn photos?

Hmm, not got any and can't host them even if I had.
All I will say is I am very very impressed with it. It's only weakness is the grill - because it's shite. Ok, will probably do a toasted cheese sandwich but won't do bacon etc.

Anyway, the model is a daewoo KOC-9Q4T. I did loads of Rea search and it's the smallest full over microwave I could find.
It does microwave, convection oven, grill (badly), combination (convection with MW), has a warming function and self steam cleans.

Buy it here for £90 http://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p...MI9ObV_PHP1QIVBbftCh2EEAAGEAQYAiABEgKxavD_BwE

It says don't put it in a cupboard, but I have and it's fine

Many thanks. I can cope without a grill. Weber baby q works well with bacon.

Yep, I use the Cobb the same way. Or if really stuck, a griddle pan on the hob.
But the oven (proper convection not combi) works brilliantly. Have done pizzas, oven chips, pasta bakes and as I said even a chicken (well ok a chicken crown but still).

We have a Prestige 32 and after reading this thread I think we are going to replace the microwave with a mini electric oven. A mini gas oven would be better in case we are moored without shore power but that is quite rare and in any case there are not many mini gas ovens out there. Towsure sell one that runs on cartridges but that looks a little fiddly
