Why do so many things fail to function after the boat has been out of the water for the winter? Amongst other problemss, my 8 year old NASA Clipper wind display wouldn't fire up after recommissioning. Took off boat, took home, took apart, nothing obvious wrong, left in airing cupboard overnight. Back to boat next day and started up OK time after time. Hooray! Next day wouldn't and drying out trick didn't work again.
Last Tue, email to NASA Marine. Wed reply - expect charge about £20 - get it to us and we'll have a look. Send off Thurs by Royal Mail Special Delivery £5.20. Their website tells me delivered Fri before 1100. Mon email from NASA sent 1706 - component replaced on main PCB - unit tested and ready to return. Tue send credit card details to cover all-in £18.04 charge. Wed lunchtime unit delivereed to desk.
Well done all concerned, particularly speedy turnaround at NASA.
