Did anyone take a look at that Lagoon 43 at SIBS? Vast deck space, aft cabin big enough for a mass orgy (remember those?), 2 other separate cabins and more storage than even my SWMBO could fill. Plus the fact that power cats are inherently efficient so it takes only 2 x 285hp shaftdrive engines to push the thing to 23 knots and, being a cat, it rolls far less both at sea and at anchor. All this for just north of £200k + VAT. OK, ignore the slightly dodgy French build quality
Apart from the obvious fact that it'll cost 50% more to berth compared to a monohull, does the panel think this is the future of boating?

Now this is a nice little power cat, it even has a spa on deck.

I too liked the idea of it and the space, but "dodgy french build quality"?

The last I saw anything as badly finished was at least 20 years ago on a 2nd rate canal boat
