Which portal are you trying? Working OK for me at the moment, for anything to do with Brexit/residence card, go to SEF Brexit portal, not the main SEF one. BREXIT (sef.pt)

Maybe better not to try and change anything before appt. My phone number needed updating so official altered my details during interview.

Take old passport with new for appointment. They know passports need periodic renewing.

Portugal news website has article ref SEF website only has LIsbon appointments for Algarve residents but says local appointments will be available.

Seems a strange situation, some friends in Faro have been done, others have appts for next week in Faro. I wonder if there are too many immigrants living in the Algarve for local offices to handle before Christmas deadline so having to send some elsewhere.

I believe SEF are trying to register as many as possible before Xmas but article in Portuguese News mentions appointments extending into 2023.

Passport/s, proof of address eg utility bill, that residence paper with the QR code and that was it. They'll ask you for the full names of your parents.

I was invited to apply for my Residency card this week using online portal. However, having had my paper copy since 12th December 2020 I've since decided Residency isnt what I want as my personal circumstances have changed. I popped onto The SEF portal followed their process instructions and deleted my residency. It took 10 seconds!Good luck to the others out there who wish to set up home in Portugal......I can see why......weather, food and people are wonderful. Saying that my wife didnt even get her Residency Plastic ID card invitation for the portal login process and is still waiting.

Received the plastic residency card yesterday. So 11 days in total from SEF appointment to delivery of residency card.
