Would you paint a couple of coats of epoxy resin over them or is that overkill?
What about changing the pads to plastic chopping boards ?The existing ones have carpet, which just holds water, will put some closed cell foam on the boatfacing side of this one Ithink. If it was summer I would treat them without thinking, but as it will take so long to get the resin to cure properly I’m not sure I will bother.
Carpet can cause trouble as it holds water. Rubber is less likely to slip and more flexible than chopping boardThe V-bow pads don't generarlly have ply. The carpet is ALL that they get.
No, not carpet over plywood. What a mess, it would stick to the paint too.
Quite hard to chop veg when there's a boat on your chopping boardWhat about changing the pads to plastic chopping boards ?
