Plywood pads on boat props, treat or not?

The existing ones have carpet, which just holds water, will put some closed cell foam on the boatfacing side of this one Ithink. If it was summer I would treat them without thinking, but as it will take so long to get the resin to cure properly I’m not sure I will bother.

What about changing the pads to plastic chopping boards ?

I'd rather have plywood than covered in carpet or whatever, because at least plywood dries out on sunny days - carpet traps the moisture.

I really think you're over thinking this - just grab some new wood pads from the scrap wood pile when they deteriorate too badly.
