plastimo bilge pump

the bilge pump on my 1985 first 29 does not work. it is not practical for me to remove it due to the awkwardness of where it is sited. is it possible to strip it down, leaving the body in situ, and replace the valves and diaphram. any advice would be helpful.

could be, since it doesn't work now you can't do any more damage by trying. good luck. be sure the wire is hot and not disconnected somewhere first.
