People leaving the River in droves?

Hoping to get down to the boat soon. Got it all ready nice and early this season, only to then be hit with some bad news regarding the wife's health (breast cancer). But fingers crossed we seem to have turned a corner and come out the other side. Looks like the first opportunity we will have to get onboard this year will be when we go on our 2 week break in July (fingers crossed).
Really missing being on board and hoping the 2 week break on Jersey Girl will be just the tonic and reward the missus needs and deserves

Travelled from Penton Hook to Marlow yesterday, very few boats moving.
Out of nine locks we had company in only three locks and one of those was a trip boat from Windsor.
Marlow moorings were full last night though.

Just moored to a deserted Dorney.

I heard that all the boats even the ones downstream of the public mooring we being asked to leave.
I decamped before this happened and had only been there a couple of months so not sure if it was a rumour or that everyone did actually move.

Some of the boats have been there for a long time.

Been fairly quiet today, several spots free above the bridge all day but fairly full tonight. Obviously lots of moorings below the bridge.
Will probably head down to Cookham Sunday afternoon.
