Enjoyed the Mag this month with some excellent features but...................

Is Astro Nav of real interest to us all now ?

It is certainly an interesting subject but you can get all this in libraries...

This month there is 3 pages on Asro Made easy and 2 pages given to Simple Sun Sights - surely all this has been done to death ?

Does anyone still read this stuff ?

In percentage terms of editorial content five pages is a lot which could be given to more interesting things or is it just me ?

Tipperty-top-top-tips

While we are on the subject of waste of space in sailing magazines, is there anyone else who is beginning to think that the “top-tips” are a joke made up by the staff at the Christmas party? My two favourite recent top-tips are:

(Sailing today): Going to throw that yoghurt pot out? STOP! Wash it and use it to store screws in from the table (or whatever) you are taking apart (bonus tip: make sure you put the yoghurt pot safely on the cabin shelf).

(PBO): Have you ever stopped to consider how useful empty washing up liquid bottles are? We cut ours in half, lengthways, ands use them in the deck drainage holes so dirty water doesn’t run down the topsides.

I think I might begin to collect the worst top tips, contributions welcome….
