It's listed at £11500 in Brighton. It was £9995 in Inverkip.
Thanks I have seen that. A rather tired looking boat overall with very dated equipment, original engine, old sails and no record on the rigging or keelbolts! Plus the mandatory Westerly Droop on the headlining.
The price is ok -it is the boat I worry about.

Yes, you could spend a lot of money on that and not see much return.

You are right-you could spend 10K on a new engine, sails and re-rigging and you would still have a knackedred old boat, just with a good engine & sails.

Probably rather more than £10K at boatyard prices. And there'd still be the droopy headlinings!

Could be a proposition at a discount on the asking price, at the present moment inexpensive boats seem in short supply. The fat cats on here always advise spending twice as much money but if your daughter does not have it, that's that.
The health of that engine is the key, you want to buy a boat to use right off........

Do you have a link to the delivery story, tried to find and failed.

Yes I also could not find the delivery trip saga but I was pleased that it was sufficiently eventful to put my daughter off the boat. It seemed to start devouring water pump impellors between IOM & Milford Haven, at night in foul weather & no battery power for nav lights or navaids. That sounded fun!.

CO8, if your daughter has set her heart on a Konsort, there are 2 for sale on the Westerly Owners web site.
Craft for Sale
Thanks for that, she is not particularly set on a Konsort. It was more where the boat was parked that she was really interested in, if you know what I mean.

Asking price is £5-10k less than others on the market. Basics are there and a bit of graft could make it a bit smarter. Seems lots of sailing might not be a priority which perhaps makes its poor engine and sails less of an issue - although it did make it all the way from Scotland!

Is she a wannabe liveaboard?
Yes she would like to live in Brighton, offered on several places to live but not managed to buy a place so a boat is a temporary alternatvie as she works from her home.

There's a big liveaboard community in Brighton, and lots happening shoreside. Could be ideal if she doesn't want to sail much and can live with droopy headlinings.
