Passage planning milford to Bristol City Docks

Any advice on planning this passage would be greatly appreciated. The idea of being at the cumberland basin and unable to pass through the lock is rather worrying given that it dries and options are limited. Also the Avon at night looks daunting.

If you have experience of this passage please respond with your ideas and tips. Thanks.

i have put a reply on the reader to reader board.

The cumberland basin doesnt dry,it is inside the main lock.

The avon is ok in the dark. You will allways be going up on a rising tide .If not happy wait in Portishead Marina for a daylight tide.
