in my quest to find the perfect boat that can be easily trailer sailed for weekends, and used like a big boat for cruising the irish sea, as well as lots of round the cans and able to dry out on mud berth, i have stumbled upon the parker 235.

does anyone have any info on this boat

I saw one on the lake and thought it a very nice boat. Things I have read about them are very complimentary. However, people's opinions depend very much on their previous experiences.
Try one and form your own opinion.

I own one bought new 3 years ago. I keep it on the Essex coast on the trailer and have it launched by tractor. It is a great boat and the quality is also good. Not had a single problem. It sails very well and because the hull is clean it often faster than bigger boats.

I towed it home with a Mitsubishi L200 pick up and did not know it was there.

The Tohatsu has never let us down and pushes the boat at 5knts with ease.

I mostly day sail with the odd trip out of Brightlingsea to Ipwich Walton or Mersea.

Normally I have a crew of 3 when sleeping on board but we have had seven on it for day sailing.

I ordered a slightly larger bottem step on the stairs which provides a nice perch out of the wind for one of the crew. I made a half height wash board but have never managed to have enough water in the cockpit to need it.

Bill Parker is really easy to do business with and very knowledgable about everything.

I had a test sail on Rutland water , you could probably do the same.

Happy to answer questions.
