For years I have taken in my Nav Bag all my papers, bill of sale, etc. However i am on motoring around the Solent, maybe over to Poole. So the question is for going local and down the uk coast what do I need to take in the way of paper?

As yet, and despite some UKBA (aka Customs and/or Immigration) assertions, as far as I am concerned, if I am staying within UK waters then I don't have to carry any paperwork/identification.

We are not quite yet a police state.

Make them justify their self-assumed regulations. As and when e-border regulations are legalised I will comply with them, until then, I'll do what I have always done.

Radio licence... thats it. Why would you need anything else with you if staying in home waters? As has been said, as yet are not quite a police state!

Ah yes but are we going to have to keep some sort of log soon regarding number of persons on board, nationalaties, etc if we want to leave the solent area? or is one of my friends dreaming!!

Something about passage plan etc, as if SCG dont have enough to worry about !
