Quietly enjoying the sun anchored off East Head on Sunday (along with a few million others), When noticed a slight commotion in front. A 30ft-ish cruiser was drifting through the anchored hoardes with no one on board. It missed me by about 10 ft at which point I called up Chichester Harbour Patrol, who were swiftly on the scene. They boarded the Marie Celeste and took her back to East Head. I was scanning the shore to spot the bemused owner but never saw anyone scratching their head with a look that said 'i'm sure we anchored the boat over there?!!'

The rules of Salvage do not apply within the 3 mile limit. The laws of 'lost & found' apply.

Someone may be in the poo if she drifted from anchor, CHM gets upset if you are out of the boat for over 4 hours while she is anchored unless they know about it and have agreed, eg to dry out somewhere
