My boat weighs 4500kg and I did find a company who had a crane on their lorry which could load the boat, and more importantly offload in my field. It was one of the companies advertising in the transport section of PBO but I cannot remember which one. I bought a trailer so did not use them. Quote to move boat 165 miles was about £350. It will not be much cheaper for you because they will spend a day doing your job. I would guess £300+ though it could be more if you are down south. Bit if down south you probably have more money than we have up north!

Quote Exeter-London was 500 quid for 44 foot motorsailer. Cranage extra. I find the cheapest way to sort out crnage is to wait for other boats to lift in or out and spread the cost with them.

Otherwise try craning in at a larger marina that has lifting facilities. usually cheaper than hiring a crane contractor.

I moved my 11m sail yacht from Yarmouth to Cambridgeshire - had to pay boat yard to lift boat onto trailler (£80), lorry and trailer (£350) and crane to off load (£100).

When the project was finished used a local company based in St Ives (Cambs) who had trailer with crane attached (£400) to lift and move boat to Ipswich. However, I had to pay the boat yard to lift off because of health and safety regulations they refused to let the transprt company off load the boat on their site.

I can provide the details of the companies if you require.
