Honda 2.3hp pushed my 3 tons of Folkboat around Scotland without any problems, and is totally good in the marina by virtue of being able to rotate through 360°, giving much safer handling.
To do this at sea, I did add a section to make it an extra long shaft, which is shown here on the tender.
