Hi guys , i am looking for the above either 230 volt or 12v dc or usb . it would be great to have one i can rotate remotely any suggestions cheers fil.
Apologies - I have just re-read the original post and I should have asked how you intend the camera to be reached/viewed.
I made an assumption. If however you have marina WiFi or other on-board network/WiFi available then there are many more choices.
Hi Mr Wings do you use cloud or sd card , it looks like what i am after . fil.I have one of these which I can move around and works from the marina wifi:

It also has an alarm which will sound if it detects any movement. It's been reassuring to seem my heaters come on when it has been cold!
Hi Martin thats a great bit of kit , ordered one toJust had a quick check since I've not been there in a while. You can turn on the infrared manually (if the PIR hasn't been triggered) so here is a picture taken on the app just now. Looks like my spare sails are still there and it shows 4G signal etc.

Recordings are stored on a memory card in the camera. Since I set this up a year ago, Reolink have added European cloud storage. One day I'll get around to configuring that.
Thanks Martin already ordered one for the barn, but its not for the boat.Apologies - I have just re-read the original post and I should have asked how you intend the camera to be reached/viewed.

THANKS THE SOLAR WOULD BE GREAT TO CHECK FOR PEOPLE ON BERTHING IF THEY BUMP.I have several Reolink cameras on board.
Most are powered from shore power but I have on with its own solar panel.
One of these:-

All the cameras are on 24/7 - including this solar powered one - fitted to the radar arch.
Here is a photo taken by it a few minutes ago.

We have recently had our head linings replaced inside the boat.
It has been useful to check on the progress as the work was carried out.
This was taken during the refitting - some panels still left to do.

Apart from this kind of thing, it is quite useful for other situations

Reolink, like most cameras these days, can "trigger" an event and email you a photo at taken at the time of that event.
So, it may be possible to do as you suggest.
But you need to isolate the view from other incidents that are going on all the time.
The Reolink software allows you to "mask" areas of movement that you don't want to be "triggered".
However, I have found that feature to be a lit too sensitive even after masking a lot of the image.
For example, one of my side deck covers has got loose.
Not a problem because it only covers the walkway to the side decks and is part of the main cockpit covers.
But in the strong winds that we had this morning, the flap was setting the alarm off.
No problem now that the wind has dropped and we are going out on Saturday so there is no need to panic anyway.
But, as I say, it isn't all "plane sailing".
