How about a Reolink Go PT Plus?

I installed a Reolink Go ( the non PTZ one) a year ago inside a remote garage that has no power... I seem to recall it's got a £4/month Vodafone sim card in it and it sends an alert to my mobile every time I open the garage door. I can also view the image any time from my mobile even in pitch dark. Didn't need any external power or WiFi.

Just had a quick check since I've not been there in a while. You can turn on the infrared manually (if the PIR hasn't been triggered) so here is a picture taken on the app just now. Looks like my spare sails are still there and it shows 4G signal etc.

Recordings are stored on a memory card in the camera. Since I set this up a year ago, Reolink have added European cloud storage. One day I'll get around to configuring that.

Ah... You've probably got enough power on board. The small solar panel that comes with these actually just plugs into the camera with a micro USB plug. It also means that in the event of that USB losing power, the camera will continue to work in it's internal battery.

Apologies - I have just re-read the original post and I should have asked how you intend the camera to be reached/viewed.

I made an assumption. If however you have marina WiFi or other on-board network/WiFi available then there are many more choices.

I have several Reolink cameras on board.
Most are powered from shore power but I have on with its own solar panel.
One of these:-

All the cameras are on 24/7 - including this solar powered one - fitted to the radar arch.
Here is a photo taken by it a few minutes ago.

We have recently had our head linings replaced inside the boat.
It has been useful to check on the progress as the work was carried out.

This was taken during the refitting - some panels still left to do.

And the finished job

Apart from this kind of thing, it is quite useful for other situations
Checking on deliveries etc:-

Yep, although, I don't set the solar one up the same way as the others.
Reolink, like most cameras these days, can "trigger" an event and email you a photo at taken at the time of that event.
So, it may be possible to do as you suggest.
But you need to isolate the view from other incidents that are going on all the time.
The Reolink software allows you to "mask" areas of movement that you don't want to be "triggered".
However, I have found that feature to be a lit too sensitive even after masking a lot of the image.
For example, one of my side deck covers has got loose.
Not a problem because it only covers the walkway to the side decks and is part of the main cockpit covers.
But in the strong winds that we had this morning, the flap was setting the alarm off.
No problem now that the wind has dropped and we are going out on Saturday so there is no need to panic anyway.
But, as I say, it isn't all "plane sailing".
