I thought that it was a typo but I am still wondering whether it was alecjj's wife or teenage daughter who had to find a new home.
This!

Sadly a wife and teenage daughter who would rather do other things now meant she had to find a new home.
She could have found a more enthusiastic new owner though, and I wish tjbrace many happy times on her.
As the daughter is still a teenager I assumed it was the wife who had found an enthusiastic new owner

Here is tjbrace’s new boat! She was mine until Monday just gone. I absolutely adored this boat, the best boat I’ll likely ever own and I’ve had a boats for 36 years. Sadly a wife and teenage daughter who would rather do other things now meant she had to find a new home.

😂 no, but if I hadn’t sold the boat to free up some dosh I think it would have been me finding a new home! I have, however, by way of compromise been allowed to downsize to something still very stylish to look at abd great on the water, just much less spacious for long periods on board. I’ll do a separate post when I take delivery.

I have to say - I can understand OP ... as a die-hard Sailboat person - I never imagined being a MoBo owner ....

But living on a wide - deep river where I can disappear for long weekends with a boat to small islands upriver ... I'd been using my 25ft Motor Sailer and a couple of smaller boats ........
I was browsing local adverts online and saw the Primor 24 ... low cost - looked good - on trailer ... so I bought it.

I actually love it ! Wife loves it ..... friends love it ....

I do not intend any sea trips with it - except maybe a really fair weather fishing trip ... its a bit 'lively' on the water ... but for the river - its very good.

Thank you all for the positive vibes and encouragement! All welcome. We had a great cruise from Chichester to West Mersea over Friday and Saturday, very enjoyable and educational. The Cranchi performed beautifully and behaved exactly as Alex told me it would. The twin engines made manoeuvring great, for a novice, but I admit to a few touches of bow thruster.
I am so pleased with my new ‘toy’ 😁😁😁🤩🤩🤩

I have never really understood the sailboat versus mobo thing because both involve being on the water and both are great fun in their own right but I guess we all have preferences. Good that the OP is delighted with their new toy and we will look out for them next time we around that part of the east coast 😁
