My Achilles 9M has old-fashioned round-the-boom reefing, which currently requires a trip to the mast to reef - not my favorite task.
In PBO a few months ago, a reader had a similar system, at had made a reefing drum to mount forward of the mast, allowing cockpit reefing - what a great idea.
I want to try this on mine, and thought I'd go one better, and try to scrounge an old headsail roller reefing drum to fit.
Does anyone have an old unwanted drum I could have?
