Thought it was time to give the old oilskins a bit of a servicing.

Apart from a freshwater wash, do any of you do any re-proofing, and what do you use?

(They're elderly Musto Gore-Tex but in good shape)

Wash with NikWax Tech wash and reproof with Nikwax TX direct. Then go over the seams and glue back any seam tape that has come adrift.

P.S. My thirty year old Musto Ocean Racer salopettes have just started to delaminate. What is the world coming to?

EDIT: clearly too slow with the typing!

I think my Musto coastal jackets must be over 20 years now and it's done a lot more ocean than coastal and in v good nick.
I think the trousers have had it, though - braces fell apart and I'm guessing they're not worth replacing

Thanks to those who suggested as above.
