All the best with everything!!!
Going into London Clinic to discuss options / risk 2nd week Feb, Op planed 3rd week.
There is a less risky option but problems may return at some point, in fact quite likely
or very risky option that will prevent recurrence but involves going very deep into a very hostile environment.
Do I want a few more years of (possible) quality life or risk all for a possible longer life, decisions, decisions.
Positively +1.Best wishes RD.....look forward to a new thread named “all sorted” :encouragement:
Very best wishes. Looking forward to hooking up at East Cowes.Been to see men today, going for less risky option, early March, so far so good.
best of luck for March, fingers crossed back on the boat end of May?
Considering that you had the guts to go also for the more risky alternative, I assume that for the less risky one the chances of success were deemed to be good, eventually - and if so, that's obviously good news.going for less risky option

Goes without saying but good luck
swmbo has had all sorts of Medical snags
We/ She had to make a decision early last year
To 'OP'or not to 'OP' as it were
Not a Life or Death one this time but the risk was She may have ended up in a wheel chair
It was the fourth attempt on Her spine
She is NOT in a wheel chair now
Well, occasionally
She can make 75 yards ish on crutches
She can hold onto a Supermarket trolley far too long!
Whilst pitching unwanted goods into it's bowels!
It is hard for Forumites and all other 'Wellwishers' to even imagine what it is You are going through and thinking
All of us on here have all our Digits crossed for You as You know
In 86 I had an OP, which was kinda serious
Before I went down to Theatre, I remember My Old Man (God Bless Him) saying --- 'Chin Up Old Boy'!
'It went well Kawasaki' the Surgeon said'But we have to 'go in again'
I didn't want to hear that!
So they went 'in' again
I am still here talking bullshit!

Most of your Posts are similar
We need more of them by the way
So
'Chin Up Old Boy'!
Had consult with bowel surgeon on Tuesday, he is now talking to pancreas surgeon & we are to schedule a conference call style consultation with everyone. They have done a rather clever scan & now know exactly what needs doing & the difficulties therein, somewhere between the low risk & high risk options. The bowel guy is very keen on the wording of the consent. I may take a second opinion from another bowel surgeon as this one is very negative. Either way an op is imminent.
I hope that sounds like some kind of progress. Keep your chin up and keep thinking of that lovely boat!
It means I need to get this one right.
