I can see that Ofcom is going to have to approach the ITU and start negotiating a smaller band width so that we can go for 110 channels instead of 55. It might (will) take years but hey you gotta start sometme?

The ITU has been looking at 12.5 Khz channel spacing for many years already, however, it takes a very large majority of ITU member administrations to make a change across a globally harmonised service. You only have to look at the problems with Airband trying to move to 8.33 Khz.

You never know one day in the future.
