I didn’t bother to read it to be honest as I already understand “headland amplification “, as will anyone who regularly sails around headlands either understands the concept or at least realise the wind gets stronger.

Well I thought that was interesting, even if I mostly just looked at the pictures. Airflow over flat roofs particularly, showing how they get sucked off, not blown offIt’s a long time since I went to ocean village but I recall correctly the buildings would create wind amplification including violent vortexes highly likely ( wind is forced to go twice the distance as it twists up similar to a tornado)
