Well it looks like I was wrong. There are people who will speak to me!!!!!!.

I have to bring a boat /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif from Brundall down to Woolverstone tommorrow, I do hope I wont get shot at by the Orwellians!!!!!

I think you'll find there are plenty of freindly, chatty types here, and the main reason for the sort of Essex/Suffolk domination is more because they were the first to find this forum. It started off as (IIRC) an Oostende planning forum, but was hijacked and a name change granted after some of us gobby types started playing in here /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I live near Boston but there are plenty of others from all over the East coast who just seem to be very quiet, or haven't found us yet

My post last night about no one talking to me was all a bit of a wheeze really. I hope I hav'ent offended any one as it was not my intention. Plus the fact I dont want to get shot at tommorrow!!!!

I don't think many on here are easily offended to be honest, everyone seems far more relaxed than elsewhere so we don't have the online histrionics that crop up elsewhere, just don't mention running aground while Sailorman is watching /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Can't take offence, as I may need valuable input in future on state of play for entry to Wells...... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

As Dave says, its only Suffolk/Essex dominated as we got the thing off the ground originally, but I for one (as I am sure is the case with others too) would be keen to see wider East Coast representation....

Anyway... I live a darned site closer to Boston than I do Ipswich... so I can't be all that bad... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Why not? (He asked innocently). What's wrong with running around opccasionally?

Nothing at all, no doubt I will join the club soon myself, but hopefully not quite as well as Roger managed /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm from Kent and have Norfolk heritage but I guess that doesn't count. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Seriously, those are areas that are well within the reach of those of us based in Suffolk/Essex so information and members from that area are more than welcome.

D

I live In Norfolk, near Norwich but prefer the variety of sailing in the Suffolk/Essex area. I spend a lot of my time in the Broadland area but funnily enough the idea of Broadland sailing simply does not apeal to me. Did take my old boat up to Reedham once from Ipswich but I can't be arsed with the bridges etc now.

I too. like Morgana would like to visit Wells, so perhaps a "southern invasion" is on the cards?

The reason this forum is dominated by Orwellians!!! "Blackwaterites" or "Crouchers" is probably because there are more of us. - SO LOOK OUT AT PLAYTIME ...RIGHT!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Seriously, you can always be assured of a welcome on the Orwell, or anywhere elseround here.

Not surprisingly I'm up for it /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Providing Sixpence is sea worthy by the time you organise it Joe /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

We'd love to go as long as there is somewhere with enough water at low tide.
Having had boats there for years until we moved on board, I would think the only chance for a lot of us with fin or long keels is laying alongside the wall - unless someone knows better.
