This is a truth account of buying a Domestic cooker on line from Nootica.it and what happen when I ask Dometic for help to solve the problem of a faulty cooker and their supplier.

We order a cooker from Nootica.it this is a French company trading under the IT , must be a reason for it, and paid on line, it took a long longer to arrived because they did not have it in stock although their web site said it was in stock.

When it arrived it was packed very well in the box,
Once unpacked we found it had a dent on its side.
But worst there was no bottom to the cooker.

We emailed Nootica to ask if they could look into it and if there a fault with the cooker has it had no bottom.
There reply said that we could just straight the dent and the cooker are made like that without a bottom.
So we filtered the cooker around a week later someone informed us their cooker had a bottom.

We Calling Dometic Italy but couldn't get an answer so we called Dometic UK and was told they would email the factory,
Some days later we received an email from Dometic UK that the cooker should have a bottom we was advise to ask for a replacement or a refund .

We trio call Nootica but never got a reply so we emailed Nootica and told them what we found out and sent them a copy of the email from Dometic and ask what they was going to do, first they suggested to sending us a bottom for us to fit , which would mean drill out all the reverts pulling the side to bits then reverts it all up again with the possibility of damaging the cooker more then it was.

More emails we again suggestion that they can send us a new cooker or a refund for what we paid for the cooker and arrange shipping as we didn't buy a diy cooker but a new cooker.

Their reply there was going to talk to Dometic

A week had pass and several more email saying the same thing " there are going to talk to Dometic .
Each time we ask for a telephone number to talk to them , each time didnt reply .
We informed them we would get our credit card company involved and ask for payment to be with help they threat us with a criminal offence, you can guess that went down like a lead balloon.

We decided to contract Dometic our self , our email ended going to the US the US email us back within a few hour and said they forward it to France , France email said they forward it to Italy, so we emailed Italy.
Dometic Italy emailed us back within a few hours asking for prove of purchase, we forward then the online payment and a copy of the credit card statement, within an hour we got another email saying there where too small to read and wanted a PDF , We converted then to PDF and send again,
Within no time we had another email to say they wasn't good enough prove and they couldn't help us without more prove.

As most of us know when you buy on line the sale invoice is also on line, some time shops do send a till receipt but not always, so we had nothing else to give them.
He also said that cooker was out of stock.

In their last email They also confirmed they have had no communication from Nootica,
This is after we been told at less three times from Nootica that they where waiting on a reply from Dometic.

So this is where we where
on one hand you have Nootica who didn't know at the time of selling us the cooker was damaged and had no bottom until we told them but once we told them, they decided rather then refund us,
mislead us which put us in risk of an gas explosion and then continue to do their best to avoid doing as the law stat which is refund or replace the cooker.

We emailed Dometic UK,France and Italy informing them that we partly hold them responsible as the coker did leave their factory with a big part of it missing and insisted in their help to sort out the problem with their supplier as Nooticz was doing their best to avoid a refund or replacement.
Dometic Italy emailed to say they and France Dometic has emailed Nootica ,
we then received a phone call from Dometic to tell us they have instructed Nootica to give us a full refund .
Only after weeks of emails and stress did Nootica advise us they would refund us .
Their email said refund within 15days .

I hope everyone who read this think very carefully before buy anything from Nootica IT or Nootica FR .
As for Dometic once they got involved they got it sorted within hours,
So a big thank you Dometic, there no doubt if Dometic didnt instruct them to pay up, Nootica wouldn't.

Read the reviews on Nootica there are not good at all.

Things sometimes go wrong for whatever reason. It's how a business deals with it that is the important part.
I dealt with a usa company who make aftermarket performance engine parts.
An oil way was incomplete leading to my rebuilt engine suffering oil starvation to the top end. They were brilliant and sent me every possible part that could have been ruined and a whole lot more spares for the rest of the vehicle

Bit like buying stuff from China I guess, i.e. always an element of inherent risk due to difficulty of returns, etc. should that be necessary. In my experience customer service in general goes to shit as soon as anything slightly out of the ordinary occurs or needs to be dealt with and the bigger the outfit the worse it usually is. I have used Nootica FR before though with no problem, they do have some very good special offers. Glad you got it sorted in the end...

It only got sorted for one reason both domestic France and Italy instructed them to give me a full refund included shipping ,
Other wise we could had said good bye to €650 although our credit card was awhere what had happen and with all the correspondence we had and every email some that would made then look like hood ,
like the one telling us we would end up with a criminal record if we informed the credit card company to looking into and they stop payment .
What company write an email to a customer like that , I can only think they amateurs at running a business.
My aim was to warn people from buying from then ,
But if anyone temped by their prices go for it and good luck .
But before you do , do a search on the net and look up site like trust pilot and read review .

To provide a contrary view on Nootica, I bought a SUP board and various accessories from them in 2019 and the goods arrived in the UK as advertised without a problem. I think they're quite a sizeable organisation

Hi Nick and welcome to ybw.
good to hear your happy with your SUP someone had to have a good service from them ,
Here a few review , within the 60 or so I found and yes there are some good ones that say good service order arrived .
You have to wonder who wrote them with so many complaints

You would normally see my posting praising a company then warning people off.
But this one takes the biscuits.
.........

My review is poor due to lack of follow up with a SUP that I purchased in August 2020 that is faulty. I have tried to contact Nootica several times as I don't know what to do to get the problem rectified and I haven't received a response.

I feel like I am being ignored.

My SUP fin is faulty, it doesn't fit in the slot on the board so we can't take the board out on the water. We have tried to use it once but everyone knows SUPs don't paddle well without a fin.

So now, I am stuck with a faulty SUP board that I can't use because Nootica won't reply to my query.

Stephanie
.................

We are in the UK and I will not order from this company again. I paid in February for a paddleboard, and am still waiting.....I contact daily and get limited unhelpful information back. I hope at some point the board arrives, as it was a present for someone in march, which is rather embarrassing! Gutted with the really poor service. Would love to know what I am supposed to do as I am £300 lighter, with no board, and no idea how to access help with this ? any help much appreciated!
.................
Hello nootica,
I wish I had read the reviews before placing my order.
The item showed as in stock but I have an email advising it is out of stock which means I cannot complete my repair.

I wish to cancel my order but I am not receiving any feedback or response from the customer service team.

Very disappointing when we are all enjoying such great service from other businesses on line who do get communications right

I hope to hear soon and see my credit

Never buy here, if you want support after your purchase

After many comparisons and considerations I finally decided to buy an Aztron Soleil SUP at Nootica.com, (Order #NO-COM-AUG16644-1).
I was excited, and after 14 days I finally received my board. Now it was time to use it. After the 3.rd day of use, when I rolled the SUP after deflation, I found a breakage in the middle fin house, under the SUP. I have no clue how it got there, except it must have occured, while I deflated or rolled the SUP (as described in the manual) - as the sup had never touched anything but water. I contacted Nootica support and I sent photos of the breakage and explained how I had been following deflation and rolling instructions from the manual. I asked Nootica for a refund or a new SUP.
First Nootica support offered to sent me the glue (that was missing in the repair toolkit) so I could make the repair myself. After refusing this, Nootica support claimed that I had been sailing onto cliffs or to the shore! They asked for photos of the fins, so this could prove that they were right! (and thereby also that I lied, shocking). I sent photos of the totally new and unscratched fins.
After many discussions per mail, as nootica support never tried to call me on phone to solve the matter, I was finally offered that Nootica would make free repair, if I for my own money returned the SUP to France (this is supplier obligations within EU, if your product has a failure). I asked if nootica were sure to be able to make a repair so the board would be fully functional again. Nootica claimed that they could.
I then decided to return the SUP, and use extra 65 EURO (490 DKK) of my own money on this, even though I had done nothing wrong to the SUP, but it simply broke while using it as described in the manual (and even if this is a supplier obligation within EU). I did not see any other possibilities - but to have the SUP repaired by the "professional seller" in contact with the manufacturer.
But I was wrong: After Nootica receipt of the SUP, I was told by Nootica support, once again, that I had been sailing onto cliffs or onto the shore - and that Nootica were NOT able to repair the SUP for free - so now I should pay 100 EURO for a repair OR have a new SUP sent for 300 EURO OR have the SUP returned without repair. I was shocked and refused to pay further money. Then my SUP was returned without repair. So now I have started a EU complaint, and have made my bank raise a complaint and to collect my money back.
No more discussion with this horrible company. If you have no complaints, then this may be a cheap company, but if you have complaints due to faults in products, then stay away from this company!
They will probably answer to this note, that they have sent me a personal message. I wouldn't beleive them.

Be open minded of new furumites posting in support of commercial organisations whose activities are being brought to question.

Just as the best companies will get it wrong once in a while, even the worst companies can't get it wrong all the time...

As for getting a criminal record ... I don't know how it works in Europe, but I understand the OP's in the UK. Not a chance, and I can't think of a better way to get me to go to the CC co.. Once I started getting the runaround, I'd have rejected the goods as unfit for purpose and demanded a refund. Any hesitation and the CC company would have been my first port of call

Stemar actually the order was place in Italy as this is where we are at this time. , and they where just trying to put the frighten on me , which is the worst thing they could had done .
EU law state any thing you buy on line you have 14 days to reject you dont need a reason , let alone if it was faulty.
I'm really pass off with this company , considering Dometic UK agree the cooker had a missing part and they advise us to tell Nootica to refund or new cooker and a copy of this email was sent to them , it was simply to just refund , then returning it back to Dometic for their refund .
But instead they decided to put our lifes at risk with a faulty cooker , if a bottom can be missed what else was missed ?
I dont belive as NickG commented that the company is sizeable organisation, my feeling is this company advertised stockable and once there are paid for then they place there order and have them sent directly to the customer,
My reason for saying this is two fold,
1 there a lot of complaints from people who say they brought stuff which Nootica says are in stock and then had to wait weeks for the delivery, each time being told after payment there not in stock , as what happen to us. And 2 there was no papers/ invoce^ receipts in the box or any details that it came from them.
Probably why they didn't want to refund as they probably brought it from a third party .

I may be new around here but I find that attitude a trifle sneering. Here is proof of my purchase from Nootica

As I said I was happy with the goods I received and Nootica's service. Maybe you and a couple of others need to be a bit more open minded?

Afterpegassus comment is valid, it won't be the first time traders join to try and discredit a posting ,
I been a member here for over 20 plus years 16 years with this user name .
Its not some thing I do run a trader down but the way Nootica when around trying not to deal with my problem goes to show they will do any thing to they can to not honour the trading laws and not just that they will lie thought their teeth.

My cooker is still advertise on they site up to yesterday as in stock when its a fact there not got any which is why when Dometic instructed them to replace they couldn't,
Next shipping won't be to July Dometic told me , so anyone who order, thinking its in stock would had paid for some thing they wont get for another few months .
it also advertise free shipping like lot of there stuff but once you go to order you find your charge shipping.
Most of the complaints on the Internet are down to 5 things
1 People ordering stuff that are in stock to find they are not and wait to wIt in some cases 5 or 6 weeks .
2 Other on the free shipping which people are charged
3 When there a problem they not willing to give refunds
4 When product are sent back for a free repair because of fault people are told they now going to have to pay for the repair .
5 there is no way of contracting them other theought their message on their site which are not answered at times , there phone are never answered
you may had a product without an problem and I'm in no doubt so have others ,
How good a company is judged not on people who have no problems with goods but how they deal with a customer when there is a problem .
Any good comments are from people whos goods arrive in good order but then thats what you paid from
There are several good comment that recommended Nootica and said how please they where with the service,
only to be edited some weeks later when they found they had a problem and Nootica real colour came out.
