Non boaty, but related, car breakdown cover for spain

Will be taking our car out to spain for the summer so we can sail and do a bit of driving around. As we are going to be out there for about 6 months finding it difficult to get extended breakdown cover for a 5/6 month period. Anyone done this and who did you use

There's a few insurance companies advertising breakdown cover on the local radio stations here on the Costa Blanca. TKO is my favourite and they are on the net and so you could check out their website. Don't have a car here myself.
