Has anyone used them with what result?

Used them last winter to ship fridge components from UK to Crete. Penguin Frigo (whose usual carrier was very pricey) sent the goods to the Nomad wharehouse in Peterborough; Nomad shipped them on to their depot in Chania in one of their regular delivery trucks. Hassle-free and a good price, although I gather that onward carriage to a specific destination can take time and be relatively costly.

Nomad's core business seems to be house removals, using any spare space for the sort of items yotties generally need to move. IIRC, the charge is on volume rather than weight, so especially good value for heavy lumps.
