Simon, that's fine. You've seen before I turn my Nelson eye (the black-patched one) towards commercial URLs in signature lines but one URL rather than two without a company logo seems a sensible proposition. When I remember or get a moment to notice we do also ask for return links to ybw.com as a reciprocal gesture.

Just asking you to go easy on the type of 'you may wonder why the forecast did/didn't work out as we predicted it' type posts, purely (and only) because it can be intepreted by some as a bit of deliberate self-promotion, that's all.

Don't at all have a problem with you commenting on weather issues; your input is clearly appreciated and weather debate is always valued, not least for its wonderful mix of science and black (or should that be seaweed green?) art.

Hope that has clarified requirements of what is also a wonderful black art...running a bulletin board!

I agree with your stance on this too, Kim.

Information about nasty weather systems ahead of a busy weekend is helpful, but suggesting a telephone call to a premium rate number for further information, was getting somewhat commercialised.

Long may common sense continue to prevail.
