NMEA 2000 to 0183 adaptor/converter/gateway

Hi,
New electronics are NMEA2000 only but I need NMEA0183 output from the NMEA2000 network for the old Raymarine ST4000+ autopilot and for the VHF..

Any suggestions of the more budget friendly adaptor/converter/gateway?

You would only need one NGW1 btw, it should be capable of driving both the VHF and the Autopilot.

I wouldn't mess about with anything else other than the Actisense.

I had a couple of Actisense gateways. They worked fine and are very good for connecting a single NMEA0183 output into N2K or N2K to a few NMEA0183 boxes. They don't convert all sentences but will convert most of the ones most people want. Have a look at the Actisense website for the list of conversions just to make sure. There's also a similar AMEC product.

The next step up is a ShipModul Miniplexer, which is the bees knees but a bit of overkill for a simple integration. It's what I now use. It made the two Actisense gateways redundant and I sold them on the For Sale forum. I suspect I'm not the only one, so if you wait a while I'm sure another will become available.
