Nikon OceanPro light colours at night

I may be imagining it, but it seems to me that my 4 year old binoculars are not showing true colours at night any more. Is it possible that there's some alignment issue that needs correcting?

I had a very cheap binoculars (now broken and discarded) in which, by night, only the red lights were deeply dimmed. Dangerous by the way.

Yes, I agree it's dangerous, but I'm not willing to discard binoculars of that price!
