Something a bit special. You don't need a sextant..... just some clear sky!
Thank you for the tip. Binoculars are home from the boat for the winter, and it should be clear on the northeast coast of the Great Lakes tonight.While it makes a nice picture, be aware that you won't see Uranus, Neptune, Pallas or Ceres with the naked eye! Binoculars might show Uranus and Neptunr but I think you need a decent telescope to get Ceres and Pallas.
