I think that much of the country is going to be overcast for the next few days, which is sad, but I will have a peep at dusk just in case.

There is a comet, Leonard, which is apparently becoming visible about now. Unfortunately it is in the east and in the morning, and since I don't have access to either of these I haven't studied it further.
 
While it makes a nice picture, be aware that you won't see Uranus, Neptune, Pallas or Ceres with the naked eye! Binoculars might show Uranus and Neptunr but I think you need a decent telescope to get Ceres and Pallas.

Thank you for the tip. Binoculars are home from the boat for the winter, and it should be clear on the northeast coast of the Great Lakes tonight.

You can see Uranus with a mirror.

Lovely clear night where I am. Not long to sunset middle of civil twilight not too far behind.
